 Lia Karosanidze —Dr. hab. in Classical Philology— is head of the Department of Bilingual Dictionaries and Scientific Terminology at the Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics, Tbilisi State University (TSU), since 2006. She is the organizer of local and international conferences on terminology in Georgia; founder and editor of the journal Terminology Issues; founder and head of the Vukol Beridze Association for Terminology of Georgia; member of the Board of Experts of the State Language Department (since 2018). Her research interests include Byzantine–Georgian linguistic relations, the history of Georgian terminology, and issues in contemporary terminology.
